Phoenix Community Yoga

Our space is located on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territory of the Coast Salish peoples-
Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), Stó:lō and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) and xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) Nations.

Phoenix Community Yoga (PCY) is a non-profit organization dedicated to making the traditional path of yoga accessible to all, regardless of social, economic, or physical factors.

Traditional yoga is more than merely an exercise; it is a spiritual path to self-development.
We believe that everyone should have access to this transformative art.

PCY carries out this vision through two main branches of action:

Community Outreach offers free or by donation yoga to underserved and marginalized communities who would otherwise have limited or no access to yoga.

We also offer training scholarships to prospective teachers whose low-income is a barrier to their progress.

Teacher Cultivation nourishes the development and mentorship of yoga teachers so that they may deepen their personal and professional practice to bring authentic yoga to everyone they teach.

This branch supports community outreach both physically and financially, providing well-trained teachers and funding for community programs.

Teacher Trainings

We endeavor help teachers and yoga practitioners cultivate their personal and professional practice. All our teacher trainings are certified by Yoga Alliance.

Proceeds from classes and trainings at Phoenix Community Yoga support karma work, making yoga training and classes available to all through scholarship programs and community outreach.

Our Karma

We work in underserved and marginalized communities to offer free classes. These classes are run by a dedicated team of volunteer teachers and rely on the support of teacher trainings, community donations, and other organizations to ensure a welcoming, safer, and inclusive space for everyone.
